This Saturday, 2 people were killed in a tragic car accident on Highway 94 near Colorado Springs.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident occurred at around 4:10 p.m. at the intersection of the highway and Antelope Drive. A 2007 GMC Sierra pickup truck was reported to have crossed over from traffic traveling eastbound into the westbound lanes of the highway. The pickup truck veered head-on into oncoming traffic and struck a 2002 Jaguar.
The 40-year old driver of the Jaguar was pronounced dead at the scene of the car accident. A 40-year old passenger in the Jaguar suffered minor injuries in the accident and a 19-year old passenger in the vehicle suffered serious injuries.
Currently, police do not believe alcohol or drugs contributed to the fatal car accident.
