10-year old hit on bicycle, suffers head and leg injuries

Yesterday afternoon, a 10-year old boy was injured in a bicycle accident in Greeley, Colorado.  According to Greeley police reports, the accident occurred on the 3000 block of 17th Avenue just before 1 p.m.

The boy rode his bicycle into the street and was struck by a vehicle traveling on 17th Ave.  The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet and was bleeding out of his ear after being struck.

Paramedics rushed the boy to North Colorado Medical Center for treatment of head and leg injuries.  Doctors at the hospital were testing to see if he had a concussion or broken leg.
