This morning, 2 bicyclists were injured in a collision with a sport utility vehicle just north of Boulder on U.S. 36.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident occurred at around 8:50 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway. Reports state that the driver of the SUV struck the 2 bicyclists at the same time just past Nebo Road.
Paramedics took one of the bicyclists to Denver Health Medical Center where they were listed as being in serious condition. Paramedics transported the other injured cyclist to Boulder Community Hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident and speaking with the driver of the SUV.
