Last week, two people were killed in separate motorcycle accidents that occurred just a few minutes apart on Interstate 70. The accidents occurred in the westbound lanes of the highway just west of Denver.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the first motorcycle accident happened when the driver of the motorcycle lost control at around 11:45 a.m. The driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle. The motorcycle’s passenger died at the scene of the accident and the driver was taken to a nearby hospital.
The second motorcycle accident occurred as a result of the first accident. Police reports state that a second motorcyclist crashed into a vehicle that slowed to avoid the first accident. The driver of the second motorcycle hit a guardrail and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
