The Denver Broncos, in a statement released on Tuesday, July 9, recognized “a disturbing pattern of irresponsible behavior” when its recently hired director of personnel Tom Heckert was arrested on June 11 for charges of driving under the influence and careless driving.
Heckert served as general manager of both the Cleveland Browns and the Philadelphia Eagles during his more than two decades’ worth of work in the NFL. In his position with the Broncos, he works closely with Executive Vice President John Elway and director of player personnel Matt Russell, who was charged with driving under the influence and careless driving resulting in injury in connection with a crash that happened July 6.
Unfortunately, many unsuspecting people are injured by drunk drivers in Denver every year. At Hull & Zimmerman, P.C., our lawyers are committed to helping those who have been injured by such drivers.
