BMW AG, the world’s largest luxury carmaker has now announced the recall of over 1 million vehicles across the world.
The recall came about after it was discovered that there was a possible defect in the battery cover cable on the 5-and 6-series BMW vehicles made between 2003 and 2010.
Officials working with BMW wrote to car owners to explain the issue and have stated that repairs are free of charge and should take less than an hour. Fewer than 1 percent of the cars that have been inspected have had the issue. The recall affects 386,000 cars in the U.S.
