A California company has announced the recall of broccoli products after the products tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.
Taylor Farms Pacific announced the recall after a random test sample show the bacteria contamination. There has not been any illnesses reported in connection to the recall. The affected recall products have a “use by” date in between Feb. 7, 2011 and March 7, 2011.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause short term symptoms for most people, but for children or elderly people the symptoms may be life-threatening. Customers are asked to discard the products or return them to the store they were purchased at for a full refund.
