Build-A-Bear pulls bear for choking hazard

300,000 “Colorful Hearts Teddy Bears” sold online and in Build-A-Bear Workshop stores between April and December of this year have been recalled because of a potential choking hazard.

According to Consumer Product Safety Commission, the eyes of the bear could loosen and come off, which could become a choking hazard for young children. No injuries have been reported in relation to this recall.

The “Colorful Hearts Teddy Bears” are white with multi-colored hearts on the body. Customers who have purchased the bear can return it to any Build-A-Bear stores in exchange for a coupon for any stuffed animal.
