Earlier this week on Halloween, a Colorado Springs family was hit by a car while trick-or-treating. The accident occurred Monday afternoon at around 3:45 p.m. in Colorado Springs at the intersection of Academy Boulevard and Parkmoor Village Drive.
According to the Colorado Springs Police, the family of three was hit in an area where pedestrians have the right of way. The two parents were pulling their 4-year old daughter in a wagon across a crosswalk at the intersection when an Oldsmobile traveling on Parkmoor turned left onto Academy and hit the family.
The 4-year old girl suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The parents both suffered serious injuries including a broken leg and a head injury and were treated at Penrose Hospital.
