The family of a woman who died in 2009 have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the company who owns an ambulance service claiming that the poor ambulance care lead to her death.
The incident occurred in 2009 when the woman was being rolled out of her home on a stretcher so she could go and receive dialysis in Plymouth. When the employees from American Medical Response were rolling her out, they dropped her onto her head.
Five days later the woman died of a brain hemorrhage. AMR, which has its headquarters in Colorado, said that they could not comment on the legal issue at this time.
Our thoughts are with the friends and family during this time.
