Felony charges filed against a 73-year-old man that was involved in a hit-and-run car accident that left a 12-year-old boy injured.

The accident occurred on March 13 when the boy was crossing the street and was struck by  the blue sedan at the intersection of Evan Ave. and Federal Blvd.

The driver fled the scene and three vehicles followed him and blocked his vehicle so that he was unable to keep driving. Police then came to the scene and took the man into custody. The 12-year-old boy sustained serious head and leg injuries as a result of the accident.
