New drunk driving statistics were recently released in a report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The report includes data from a survey of 210,000 adults in the U.S. The data was gathered in an anonymous telephone survey.
According to the survey, men between the ages of 21- and 34-years old are the most likely to drink and drive. While this population only accounts for about 11 percent of the entire population of the U.S., it accounts for about 32 percent of drunk driving episodes.
1 in 50 people participating in the survey admitted to driving drunk at least one time within 30 days of the survey.
