One killed in hit-and-run motorcycle accident

Police have made an arrest after a fatal hit-and-run motorcycle accident that occurred at the intersection of Flintridge and Vickers drive.

According to Colorado Springs Police, the crash was between two vehicles and occurred around 1:45 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, one of the motorcyclists had already fled.

Police then found the victim of the crash who had been ejected from his motorcycle in the collision and was lying on the sidewalk. Their efforts to revive the man were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene a few minutes later.  According to witnesses, one of the motorcycles was traveling northbound and the other was traveling east when they collided.
