Multi-Mex Distributor, Inc. has announced the recall of a dietary supplement after an inspection was done by the Food and Drug Administration that showed that the supplement resembles antibiotic that is sold in Mexico and Hispanic customers may confuse the two.
The products were distributed to retail stores and distributors in Colorado, Georgia, California, Illinois, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas and California.
Last week, four children in Texas were taken to the hospital when their illnesses worsened when their parents mistakenly gave them the dietary supplements instead of what they thought was the the real antibiotic.
