Truck driver charged in accident caused by spill on I-70

This Monday, a truck caused multiple accidents involving around a dozen vehicles by spilling a slick material on Interstate 70 and a portion of Interstate 76.

The EDS Waste Solutions truck was leaving a water treatment plant when it spilled the liquid on the eastbound lanes of I-70 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.  Wheat Ridge Police charged the truck’s driver with a traffic violation and his case will go to court in November.

Of the vehicles involved in the accidents, at least 3 were motorcycles.  Several people were injured in the accidents and all that were taken to hospitals have since been released, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Officials will be investigating the accidents and EDS.
