3 people suffered injuries in a 2-vehicle accident in Parachute, Colorado yesterday evening. According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, the accident occurred at around 5 P.M. on Tuesday at Interstate 70 and Highway 6.
The accident happened between the cities of Parachute and Rifle when a motorhome traveling in the westbound lanes of I-70 got a flat tire. The motorhome moved to the right side of the road and onto Highway 6 where it collided with a pickup truck traveling eastbound on the highway.
The two vehicles collided head-on. The driver of the pickup truck had to be flown to Grand Junction Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the motorhome and a passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
