Colorado judge rejects plea agreement for fatal rollover accident

On Friday, March 14 Weld County Court Judge Michele Meyer rejected a plea agreement that would allow Anthony Alacca, 22, to avoid jail time after causing a rollover accident that killed three people and injured one person.

The accident occurred in August of 2013 when Alacca was driving north on U.S. Route 85 from Greeley. He fell asleep while driving, causing the car to lose control and roll.

Michael and Mariah Lynn de la Rosa and Michael Gnoato all died at the scene. Mariah Motschman, Alacca’s girlfriend, was critically  injured and remains in a Denver hospital.
