A teenager and her four passengers were injured in an SUV rollover car accident while driving on County Road 411.
According to Colorado State Patrol, the 17-year-old driver skidded out of control after trying to negotiate a series of curves. The car then struck an embankment on the side of the road causing it to flip and roll over.
All of the girls were between the age 15 and 17 and three of the them, including the driver, were not wearing seat belts. One teen suffered serious injury as a result of the accident. The driver was cited for careless driving that caused serious injury, allowing passengers to not wear seat belts and driving without insurance.
