Woman found lying on west Aurora street victim of hit-and-run

A pedestrian was found lying on the roadway after being hit by an unknown vehicle in west Aurora, Colorado late Sunday, December 1.

The Aurora Police reported that when they arrived at the scene of the accident, they found a woman lying in the street near the intersection of East 4th Way and Kenton Street. The accident was called in at around 10:19 p.m.

Emergency medical responders brought her to a nearby hospital in hopes of reviving her, but she was pronounced dead a short while after being hospitalized.
